Job Description

As an Elementary School Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting elementary students who need extra academic assistance. Your responsibility will include creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique learning pace and style. You will collaborate with classroom teachers to monitor student progress and ensure all students meet their educational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate student learning needs and devise appropriate educational strategies.
  • Engage students with creative and relevant activities that promote learning.
  • Support students with special needs by customizing instructional methods.
  • Attend professional development workshops to enhance tutoring skills.
  • Work closely with parents to set educational goals and discuss achievements.
  • Encourage a growth mindset among students to foster resilience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students to aid their learning journey.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required
  • Special Education endorsement is a plus
Experience
  • 1-3 years teaching or tutoring experience preferred
