Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabric and Apparel Patternmaker to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying garment patterns, ensuring they meet design specifications with precision and accuracy. A strong understanding of garment construction and fitting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to design and modify patterns effectively.
• Supervise junior team members and provide feedback on their work.
• Ensure that all patterns are aligned with production timelines and standards.
• Collaborate with the fabric sourcing team to choose appropriate materials for patterns.
• Participate in design reviews to provide input from a construction perspective.
• Perform quality control checks on final patterns before production.
• Stay informed of fabric characteristics and how they affect garment fit.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Formal training in pattern making preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent is highly desirable.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in pattern grading and garment fitting.

Technical Skills

• 3D Pattern Design Software
• Sewing Techniques

Certifications

• Fashion Technology Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
