Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring the best outcome for pediatric patients.
• Consult with families pre- and post-surgery to provide comprehensive care.
• Conduct ongoing research and trials to improve surgical techniques.
• Provide support and guidance to nursing staff throughout the surgical process.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and hospital regulations in all aspects of patient care.
• Engage in community health initiatives focused on pediatric health issues.
• Facilitate family educational sessions about pediatric health and wellness.
• Manage patient care teams to ensure continuity of care from diagnosis through recovery.

Requirements

Education

• MD or DO degree
• Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in surgical roles with a strong focus on pediatrics

• Advanced Surgical Techniques

Certifications

• Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages
