Job Description

As a Medical Equipment Preparer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the sterility of medical instruments and ensuring they are ready for use. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and a commitment to adhering to strict cleanliness protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of medical instruments through thorough sterilization.
• Prepare and organize tool trays for surgical teams.
• Assist in the management of sterile supply inventory.
• Conduct cleaning and disinfection of various healthcare environments.
• Uphold strict adherence to infection prevention protocols.
• Coordinate with healthcare staff to timely provide sterilized tools.
• Perform routine testing and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
• Document sterilization results and uphold compliance records.
• Implement safety measures to create a safe workspace.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certification or associate degree is a plus

Experience

• Previous sterile processing experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with sterilization equipment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Time management skills

Certifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)

Languages

• English: Fluent
