Job Description

As a Bridge and Lock Tender, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe operations at railway crossings and ensuring the smooth passage of trains. In this position, you will help manage train schedules, assist passengers, and maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the safe passage of vehicles and trains through the bridge/lock area.
• Enforce station rules and guidelines to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding operations.
• Document any issues or operational challenges faced during shifts.
• Assist with emergencies and coordinate with local authorities as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers and visitors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service or transportation role preferred.

Languages

Advantageous
