Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cone Runner to join our road maintenance team. This role involves managing and maintaining cones and barricades at various sites, ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists. You'll coordinate with team members to ensure efficient traffic flow and be responsible for setting up and removing traffic control devices.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic as instructed by supervisors.
• Set up, move, and take down cones and barriers.
• Implement safety measures and monitor compliance.
• Communicate with the public to ensure understanding of traffic patterns.
• Regularly inspect sites for safety and efficiency.
• Help train new employees on equipment use and protocols.
• Assist in maintaining records of work completed.
• Participate in ongoing safety training and workshops.
• Help identify issues that could impact worker safety.
• Report any equipment failures or safety violations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CDL license preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in traffic management or construction
