Job Description

The Bed Operator will play a critical role in ensuring that hospital beds are properly maintained for patient safety and comfort. This position requires effective communication and teamwork, as well as a commitment to complying with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and service various types of beds used within the facility.
  • Assist in patient positioning and transferring as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and handle linens and supplies efficiently.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quick response to patient needs.
  • Document maintenance reports and schedules.
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness and order in the patient areas.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
  • Address patient inquiries and assist them in a professional manner.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Perform routine checks on bed functionality.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training and experience
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of EHR Systems

Certifications
  • Current CNA Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
