Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Middle School Art Educator to join our vibrant faculty. This role involves designing and delivering artistic curricula that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression among middle school students. You will provide individualized guidance to each student's artistic journey and create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lesson plans that engage students in artistic exploration.
  • Assess student work and provide detailed feedback on their artistic development.
  • Create an inspiring and safe classroom environment for all students.
  • Work with other teachers to integrate art into broader educational themes.
  • Supervise art-related events and encourage student participation.
  • Research and introduce new art techniques and materials to the curriculum.
  • Promote critical thinking through peer critiques and discussions.
  • Develop relationships with local artists and art institutions for collaboration opportunities.
  • Actively participate in faculty meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain records of student achievement and classroom activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or Art Education, additional certification preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of teaching experience in an art-related field
