Costume Attendant

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Costume Attendant to join our theater production team. The successful candidate will assist with costume fittings, alterations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring that all costumes are prepared and organized for performances, rehearsals, and events.

Responsibilities

• Support costume fittings for cast members ensuring comfort and proper fit.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of costumes.
• Maintain an organized costume wardrobe, ensuring all pieces are accounted for.
• Work collaboratively with the Costume Designer to execute their vision.
• Help manage costume changes during performances.
• Communicate with production staff to ensure seamless costume operations.
• Research and implement new techniques for costume maintenance.
• Contribute to the overall aesthetic of performances through thoughtful costume presentation.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma; degree in fashion design is a plus

Experience

• Previous experience in theater or performing arts organizations.

Languages

• English: Fluent
