Job Description

The College Chaplain is a vital part of our community, responsible for providing spiritual guidance, support, and counseling to students, faculty, and staff. This role entails leading religious services, facilitating interfaith dialogues, and being a resource for those seeking help with personal and moral matters.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services and ceremonies in accordance with college traditions and values.
  • Provide counseling and support during personal and family crises.
  • Organize interfaith dialogues to enhance understanding of various religious traditions.
  • Maintain a supportive environment in the chaplaincy office for all students and staff.
  • Engage students in leadership roles within the religious life program.
  • Participate in community service projects that align with the college’s mission.
  • Encourage student participation in spiritual formation and exploration activities.
  • Develop partnerships with local religious organizations for broader community engagement.
  • Serve as a resource for students in need of spiritual or emotional support.
  • Regularly evaluate and adapt programming based on the needs of the college community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Relevant advanced degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of chaplaincy or related pastoral experience
