Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Credit Underwriter to evaluate credit applications and provide essential support in credit decisions. Your role will involve collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to our overall success.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate creditworthiness of clients by analyzing financial data and trends.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for various credit applications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance the underwriting process.
• Prepare and present comprehensive analysis of clients' financial situations.
• Assist in establishing credit limits and conditions for loans.
• Monitor changes in clients' financial standing and adjust credit evaluations accordingly.
• Stay up-to-date with market and regulatory changes affecting credit.
• Provide training and support to the underwriting team regarding best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the underwriting department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting and credit evaluation

• Commercial Loan Officer Certification
