Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Structural Engineer with a passion for innovative design and problem-solving. The ideal candidate should have experience working on diverse projects, from small renovations to large-scale structural developments, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Explore innovative engineering solutions to improve project outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects from conception through to completion.
• Execute structural calculations, including stress analysis and load assessments.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers to incorporate green design initiatives.
• Participate in post-project evaluations to improve future project results.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Structural Load Calculations

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong knowledge of local building codes: Understanding of regulations related to building structures in Washington state.
• Experience with structural design for seismic activity: Ability to design structures that are safe during seismic events.
