Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Agricultural Equipment Operator to join our harvest team during the crucial hop harvesting season. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Harvest Manager, operating machinery and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of hop picking machinery from start to finish.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Work closely with the Harvest Manager to achieve harvest targets.
• Document and report any issues related to machinery performance.
• Train new team members on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Prioritize sustainability and eco-friendliness in operations.
• Participate in post-harvest evaluations and feedback sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in agriculture or food processing

Technical Skills

• Hop Harvesting Techniques
• Record Keeping

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a leadership role during harvest: Previous experience overseeing a small team during harvest operations.
