Job Description

The Hospital Unit Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the unit. This position requires excellent organizational skills and strong communication abilities to effectively coordinate patient care, facilitate communication between healthcare teams, and ensure regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking and maintaining a positive atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead unit meetings and promote teamwork among staff.
  • Ensure all patient care protocols are followed accurately.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Regularly assess staffing needs and recommend adjustments.
  • Compile and analyze unit performance data for continuous improvement.
  • Develop protocols for emergency situations within the unit.
  • Support patient education initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote hospital services.
  • Monitor patient feedback and implement changes based on input.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or similar field
  • Relevant certifications or further education is desirable
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred with a focus on patient coordination
