Job Description

The Plant General Manager (Plant GM) is responsible for overseeing all operations within the plant. This includes managing production, quality assurance, safety protocols, and maintenance activities to ensure that the plant runs efficiently while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily plant operations to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Evaluate production metrics and implement improvements.
  • Develop policies to enhance workplace safety and quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement among staff.
  • Regularly audit plant performance against industry benchmarks.
  • Manage inventory and supply chain logistics efficiently.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment through team-building activities.
  • Initiate cost-reduction strategies while maintaining product quality.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management regarding plant performance.
  • Lead crisis management and emergency response planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Plant Operations, preferably in a leadership role
