Special Education Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student. You will collaborate with other educators, families, and support staff to ensure all students receive the necessary resources and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging lesson plans reflecting the needs of each student’s IEP.
• Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching strategies.
• Facilitate communication between parents and educational personnel regarding student needs and progress.
• Incorporate assistive technology and resources into the learning process.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with other specialists to enhance educational strategies.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• State certification in Special Education

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience working with students with diverse abilities

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
