Orderlies/Ward Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Orderlies/Ward Assistants to support our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will help ensure the comfort and safety of patients while assisting with daily activities and maintaining a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in caring for patients, including bathing and dressing.
• Ensure that patient records are maintained and updated regularly.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments as required.
• Assist in the cleaning and stocking of the ward.
• Monitor patient vital signs and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Help with the preparation of patients for exams and treatments.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
• Assist with the transport of patients to various departments.
• Follow established protocols and policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Basic Computer Skills
• Patient Care Techniques

• Strong Communication Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience working with critically ill patients: Familiarity with the care required for critically ill patients.
• Bilingual candidates preferred: Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
