As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various vehicles and heavy machinery directly at job sites. This position demands a strong mechanical aptitude along with the capability to work independently in diverse weather conditions. Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of equipment performance.
  • Repair heavy machinery on-site, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Document all repairs and submit reports to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding job status.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems effectively.
  • Train new team members on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required.
  • Keep track of inventory for parts and supplies.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in automotive or heavy equipment repair preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Hydraulic systems knowledge Experience working with hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in heavy equipment.
  • Welding skills Experience in MIG and stick welding.
  • Problem-solving Highly skilled in identifying and resolving complex mechanical issues.
  • Time management Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Forklift operator certification preferred
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with fleet management software: Experience using software to track maintenance schedules and repairs.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in heavy equipment operation: Understanding of industry safety standards and practices.
