Job Description

As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various vehicles and heavy machinery directly at job sites. This position demands a strong mechanical aptitude along with the capability to work independently in diverse weather conditions. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of equipment performance.
  • Repair heavy machinery on-site, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Document all repairs and submit reports to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding job status.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems effectively.
  • Train new team members on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required.
  • Keep track of inventory for parts and supplies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a technical program in automotive or heavy equipment repair preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in field repairs of heavy equipment
Technical Skills
  • Advanced mechanical skills
