Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Juvenile Detention Officer to ensure the safety and well-being of young individuals in our detention facility. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to providing guidance and support in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of juveniles at all times.
  • Engage in regular communication with juveniles to build trust and rapport.
  • Participate in the development of rehabilitation programs and activities.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of juvenile behavior and incidents.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and social services as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies and conflict situations effectively.
  • Assist in the delivery of educational and therapeutic programs.
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with at-risk youth is advantageous.
