Job Description

Join our team as a Straight Knife Machine Cutter, where your expertise in operating and maintaining cutting machines will play a critical role in our fabric production process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the apparel industry, ensuring precision in fabric cutting to meet production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate straight knife cutting machines effectively.
• Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
• Position fabrics accurately on the cutting table to ensure effective cutting.
• Utilize foot or hand controls to guide the cutting process accurately.
• Conduct quality checks on cut materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Keep cutting equipment well-maintained and report any mechanical issues.
• Comply with safety guidelines and maintain an organized workspace.
• Work collaboratively with other operators to enhance production efficiency.
• Assist in training new staff on operational procedures and safety measures.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Additional courses in manufacturing or fabric technology preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in apparel manufacturing is preferred
