Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk levels, and determine appropriate premiums. Knowledge in various types of insurance and strong analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide underwriting recommendations.
• Review underwriting files for completeness and accuracy.
• Facilitate communication between agents and management regarding underwriting issues.
• Monitor industry standards and maintain underwriting quality control.
• Assist in training new underwriting staff and interns.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or related roles

• Underwriting Software Proficiency
• Statistical Analysis

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Insurance Designation Courses

Languages

• English: Fluent
