Job Description

As a Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring construction sites adhere to environmental regulations. Your primary responsibility involves inspecting sites to assess compliance with erosion and sediment control measures, as well as storm water management practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental protection while promoting best practices in construction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections to ensure that construction sites are adhering to erosion and sediment control regulations.
  • Assess the adequacy of storm water management systems at various project sites.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to identify potential compliance issues related to erosion control.
  • Advise project teams on effective erosion control practices and technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with environmental agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Facilitate training and workshops focused on erosion control measures for construction staff.
  • Engage in continuous learning to keep abreast of emerging trends in environmental compliance and technology.
  • Assist in the revision of erosion and sediment control plans as needed.
  • Contribute to environmental impact assessments during project planning stages.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering, or related fields
  • Master's degree in a related field is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience related to environmental compliance or inspections
