Job Description

As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate documentation of patient medical records. You will listen to audio recordings from healthcare professionals and transcribe them into written reports, which will directly impact the quality of patient care. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of medical terminology are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to dictated recordings from doctors and other professionals.
  • Transcribe dictations into accurate medical documentation.
  • Edit and proofread transcripts for grammar and medical terminology.
  • Verify the accuracy of patient information during transcription.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulations.
  • Collaborate with doctors for clarifications when needed.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records.
  • Contribute to improving transcription processes.
  • Train and mentor new medical transcriptionists as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in Medical Transcription or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical environment
