Surgical Technician (Surgical Tech)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technician to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will assist during operations, ensuring all instruments and supplies are prepared, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing essential support to the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures, confirming all necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assist physicians and nurses during surgeries by providing instruments and materials.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout all surgical operations.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Provide post-operative support by dressing wounds and managing recovery.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
• Participate in continuous education and training to enhance knowledge of surgical techniques.
• Work closely with the surgical team to develop and implement efficient surgical plans.
• Respond to any emergencies that arise during surgical procedures calmly and efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with patients and staff.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an operating room setting
