Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Health First Pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes, provide medication counseling, and manage pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and authorize medication prescriptions.
• Provide comprehensive medication reviews to patients.
• Collaborate on patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure stock management and reorder of medications.
• Monitor drug interactions and contraindications.
• Educate staff on pharmacy policies and best practices.
• Assist in developing medication therapy management protocols.
• Respond to pharmacy or patient inquiries effectively.
• Document medication therapy interventions accurately.
• Enhance patient adherence through education and support.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)
