We are seeking a skilled Slater to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and replacing roofs and walls using a variety of materials, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute roofing projects from start to finish with precision.
• Measure and adjust materials as necessary for proper installation.
• Install waterproofing to protect against leaks and moisture.
• Conduct safety checks before and during project work.
• Mentor new hires on best practices in slate work.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the construction team for efficient workflow.
• Provide customer service and address client concerns on-site.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in slating or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in slate roofing and wall construction.

Technical Skills

• Slate craftsmanship
• Heavy machinery operation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Leadership experience: Previous experience leading a team or managing projects.
• Construction Management Certification: Certification in construction management is a plus.
