Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Logging Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong operational skills and a commitment to safety, working on various machinery to ensure high-quality log processing.

Responsibilities

• Run log processing equipment to convert logs into usable materials.
• Check logs for quality and compliance with standards.
• Maintain equipment to ensure longevity and reliability.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Engage in teamwork to enhance overall productivity.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in Forestry or related field (preferred)

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in log processing or related field

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Quality Inspection

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Certification in Log Processing (preferred)
• Heavy Equipment Operator Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with heavy machinery maintenance: Knowledge of routine and preventative maintenance on logging equipment.
• Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate within a team and follow directions.
