Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Deputy Coroner. In this role, you will assist in determining the cause and manner of death for deceased individuals. Your responsibilities will include conducting investigations, performing autopsies, and documenting findings.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in thorough investigations of death scenes, documenting all pertinent details.
  • Conduct autopsies in collaboration with forensic pathologists.
  • Prepare and present case findings and testimony in court as required.
  • Coordinate with various agencies to ensure a comprehensive investigation.
  • Support next of kin through compassionate interactions and timely information.
  • Manage records and databases efficiently, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education in forensic science and coroner activities.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified Deputy Coroner training program
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field such as forensic science or law enforcement.
