Job Description

As a Catcher Helper, you will play a vital role in our fishing operations by assisting with the fishing catch, preparing equipment, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our vessel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Catcher during fishing activities.
• Set up and maintain fishing equipment.
• Participate in unloading and sorting catches.
• Monitor conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Record daily catches and assist in reporting.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve operational goals.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety and equipment use.
• Engage in continual learning about fishing practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in commercial fishing is preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Marine Life
• Navigation Skills

Certifications

• Commercial Fishing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual Skills (English and Spanish): Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with GPS Technology: Knowledge of navigation and location technology used in marine settings.
