Job Description

As a Signal Maintenance Technician, you will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and functionality of signal systems that support effective traffic flow. You will detect and resolve issues, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system performance and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on traffic signal systems.
• Calibrate and adjust signal timers for optimal traffic flow.
• Coordinate regularly with other departments to manage signal maintenance schedules.
• Document maintenance activities and keep equipment logs.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies in signal systems.
• Ensure adherence to local and federal transportation regulations.
• Provide on-call support to address emergency signal malfunctions.
• Conduct performance audits of signal systems.
• Input and manage data related to signal systems in monitoring software.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in signal system maintenance or related field
