Material Control Clerk

Job Description

The Material Control Clerk will be essential in managing and organizing materials, supplies, and inventory within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate stock levels, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth operations within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving processes and ensure accurate recording of inventory.
• Track shipments and expedite orders when necessary.
• Work with the procurement team to forecast materials needs.
• Assist in the implementation of inventory management systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Train new staff on inventory management procedures.
• Report on inventory levels and trends to management.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Manage waste and excess materials responsibly.
• Serve as the point of contact for inventory inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in material control or inventory management roles preferred

Technical Skills

• Cycle Count Procedures
• Shipping and Receiving Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent
