We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our dedicated team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and advising clients on tax-related issues. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in tax software, and a passion for helping clients maximize their tax savings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Perform tax research and analyze relevant tax laws to ensure compliance.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimize their tax positions.
• Conduct audits and examinations in collaboration with the internal audit team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving tax law and its implications.
• Assist clients with tax-related inquiries and provide high-quality service.
• Prepare documentation for appeals and responses to IRS inquiries.
• Participate in continuous professional education to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Advanced degree (Master's) preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on tax experience
