Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Career/Technical Education Teacher to inspire and educate middle school students. In this role, you will develop and implement engaging curricula that aligns with industry standards, helps students acquire practical skills, and prepares them for future career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design educational programs that cater to the needs of diverse learners and promote student engagement.
• Facilitate practical, hands-on learning experiences that encourage skill acquisition and career exploration.
• Evaluate student assignments and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.
• Foster relationships with local businesses to create internship and job shadowing opportunities for students.
• Conduct regular classroom management and mentoring activities to guide students' academic growth.
• Oversee equipment and facilities related to the CTE program, ensuring they are safe and functional.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Illinois

Experience

• 2-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in Career/Technical Education or related fields
