Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Children's Author, where your storytelling expertise will shine. You'll create whimsical tales that spark imagination and a love for reading among children, working closely with our editorial and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit manuscripts while incorporating feedback from editors.
• Lead storytelling workshops for children and educators.
• Collaborate closely with marketing to devise promotional strategies.
• Participate in literary events and book fairs to enhance visibility.
• Establish connections with schools to promote literacy initiatives.
• Stay abreast of new trends and publishing practices.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance writing techniques.
• Encourage young readers to express their thoughts through creative writing activities.
• Host virtual readings and Q&A sessions for young audiences.
• Advocate for children's literacy and accessibility to quality literature.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Creative Writing, or a related field

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience writing for children's literature.

Technical Skills

• Ability to write for different age groups
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs

Soft Skills

• Openness to feedback
• Passion for children's literature

Languages

• English: Fluent
