Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Detroit. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems. You will be involved in product development from concept to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering design projects from concept through execution.
• Oversee prototype manufacturing and testing processes.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes.
• Participate in regular project reviews and presentations.
• Coordinate with suppliers on the selection of materials and components.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines efficiently.
• Support the transition of products into full-scale production.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Ansys
• AutoCAD

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with automation systems: Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial automation equipment.
• Proficiency in engineering project management software: Experience with tools like MS Project or similar applications.
