Job Description

Join our esteemed maritime team as a Sailor and Marine Oiler. You’ll navigate and steer our vessels, oversee loading and unloading operations, and maintain adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Control the speed and direction of the vessel during navigation.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure all crew members understand emergency protocols.
• Help in maintenance tasks of the vessel to ensure its seaworthiness.
• Conduct regular safety drills and training for the crew.
• Prepare the vessel for departure and oversee the loading process of cargo.
• Interact with port authorities and ensure compliance with local laws.
• Contribute to the development of navigational plans and routes.
• Manage communications with other vessels and maritime authorities.
• Keep the vessel's logbook updated with accurate records.
• Respond quickly to any navigational challenges or emergencies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications such as Radar Observer, Tankerman, or Lifeboatman

Experience

• Additional experience working on passenger ships, cargo vessels, or barges is preferred

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent
