Youth Development Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Youth Development Specialist to join our vibrant team in Chicago. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing programs aimed at enhancing the social, emotional, and educational growth of our youth. You will collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to create a supportive environment for youth development.

Responsibilities

• Implement youth development strategies that align with community needs.
• Provide one-on-one support to youth facing personal challenges.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions about improving youth services.
• Support youth transitions from school to post-secondary opportunities.
• Create promotional materials for youth programs and services.
• Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure resources for programs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience working directly with youth
