Job Description

As a Personal Care Aide, you will provide essential daily support and companionship to elderly or disabled individuals in their homes. Your role will encompass a variety of caregiving tasks, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients while promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care and support to clients in their homes.
• Help with medication reminders and assist in daily health monitoring.
• Engage in companionship activities that promote emotional well-being.
• Assist in meal preparation and dietary planning.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, maintaining a tidy living space.
• Coordinate transportation for appointments and errands.
• Communicate effectively with family and health care professionals.
• Adapt to changing client needs and care requirements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.

Technical Skills

• Basic caregiving skills
• Medication management

Soft Skills

• Compassion and empathy
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Spanish: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s or dementia care: Specialized training in caring for clients with memory disorders.
