As a Woodworking Machine Setter and Operator, you will play a critical role in the wood processing operations. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the chipper machine, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Monitor the running of chipper equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct quality checks on finished products.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform repairs.
Maintain records of production rates and downtime.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflow.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
Assist with inventory management of raw materials.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma required; vocational training preferred
Experience
Prior experience in a wood products manufacturing environment is preferred
