Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter and Operator, you will play a critical role in the wood processing operations. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the chipper machine, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the running of chipper equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform repairs.
  • Maintain records of production rates and downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
  • Assist with inventory management of raw materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma required; vocational training preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in a wood products manufacturing environment is preferred
