Seeking an experienced Log Grader and Scaler who can effectively assess log quality against rigorous standards. This position entails detailed inspections and evaluations, playing a crucial role in the supply chain. Ideal candidates will have a background in forestry or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of logs to ensure they meet quality and grading standards.
• Calibrate and adjust grading equipment as required.
• Identify defects and assess overall log quality.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and grading results.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
• Provide training to new team members on grading processes.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to raise quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in quality control is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in log grading or inspection
