Driver Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Driver Manager to oversee our fleet of drivers. You will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of drivers in achieving operational goals.
• Coordinate and monitor driver schedules to enhance efficiency.
• Implement and uphold safety standards across the fleet.
• Evaluate driver performance and conduct regular reviews.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline delivery processes.
• Oversee compliance with industry regulations.
• Facilitate ongoing driver education and training initiatives.
• Document and report on driver performance metrics.
• Act as a liaison between drivers and upper management.
• Resolve conflicts and provide support to drivers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered

Experience

• Prior experience in managing a team of drivers.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)

• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in transportation management: Certification in logistics or transportation management will be an advantage.
