Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Inspector to join our team in Houston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of tanks and other transportation infrastructures to ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will identify defects, recommend repairs, and work closely with engineering teams to enhance operational reliability and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on transportation tanks and document findings.
  • Evaluate compliance with environmental and safety laws.
  • Communicate findings in written reports to management.
  • Coordinate with external inspectors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Support quality control initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Assist in the development of safety management systems.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex inspection projects to develop best practices.
  • Ensure proper utilization of inspection tools and equipment.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in tank inspection or related field (e.g., API 653 certification)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tank inspection or similar role
