Job Description

A Conservation Technician plays a crucial role in the preservation and maintenance of our planet's vital resources. The ideal candidate will assist in the restoration of cultural artifacts and natural environments, apply conservation techniques, and engage with local communities to promote sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the cleaning and repair of historical sites and natural landscapes.
  • Utilize conservation tools and equipment for restoration efforts.
  • Analyze and report on the condition of artifacts and natural resources.
  • Participate in education and outreach programs.
  • Document conservation processes and results for future reference.
  • Work with volunteers on conservation projects.

Advantageous

  • Experience with conservation software: Familiarity with tools such as KE EMu and TMS for artifact tracking.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience managing conservation or restoration projects effectively.
