Job Description

As the Upholstery Department Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled upholsterers to manage daily operations in the Upholstery Department. This position requires a deep understanding of upholstery techniques, outstanding leadership capabilities, and a commitment to quality. You'll be tasked with ensuring that production targets and quality standards are consistently met while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize daily operations within the upholstery department.
  • Develop training programs for new hires to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Equip team members with the resources and tools needed to succeed.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss feedback, innovations, and challenges faced.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels across departments.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical degree in Upholstery or similar field preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on upholstery experience and prior supervisory experience.
