Job Description

As an Agricultural Equipment Operator, particularly focusing on Machine Pecan Picker, your role will involve operating a specialized machine to efficiently harvest pecans. Attention to detail and a strong mechanical aptitude are essential as you will be responsible for the machine's maintenance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and effective operation of harvesting machinery.
• Conduct pre-harvest inspections for machine readiness.
• Engage in sorting and storing processes for harvested pecans.
• Assist in record-keeping and reporting of daily activities.
• Support fellow team members and assist in problem-solving activities.
• Participate in training sessions to uphold safety standards.
• Adapt to changing conditions and adjust equipment as needed.
• Help in the cleanup and maintenance of the work site post-harvest.
• Communicate effectively with management about harvesting progress and issues.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating heavy machinery is preferable

Experience

• Previous experience in agriculture or similar field is advantageous.
