Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Loftsman to join our team. As a Loftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed layouts for ship and boat construction, ensuring that all measurements and specifications are correct.

Responsibilities

• Regularly update and maintain layout documentation
• Coordinate with material suppliers to ensure resource availability
• Conduct site inspections to validate compliance with designs
• Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during construction
• Support project leads in planning and execution of phases
• Participate in safety drills and trainings
• Ensure workspace safety protocols are followed
• Provide input on design improvements based on practical insight

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in related field may be considered

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in ship or boat construction

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Marine Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Composite Materials: Knowledge in working with advanced composite materials in construction.
• Project Management Experience: Experience managing timelines and resources for shipbuilding projects.
