Job Description

The Site Safety and Health Officer is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. This role involves overseeing safety plans, conducting inspections, and recommending improvements to enhance safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the safety orientation for new hires and ongoing training sessions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to embed safety within project planning.
  • Review subcontractor safety practices to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports on safety performance and compliance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related inquiries.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and address issues proactively.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Certification as a safety professional (CSP) or industrial hygienist (CIH)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and health within the construction industry is required.
