Job Description

As a Geographic Information Systems Technologist, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and maintenance of GIS. You will leverage your expertise to analyze spatial data, create detailed mapping solutions, and provide technical support to users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom geospatial applications and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct spatial data quality assessments and implement data validation protocols.
  • Utilize advanced GIS software and tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and Mapbox.
  • Engage in project management activities, including planning and reporting on GIS projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals related to GIS projects.
  • Participate in resource planning and inventory management for GIS projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in GIS and data analysis
