Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant in our Special Education program, you will be instrumental in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Your role will encompass providing tailored assistance across subjects such as math, reading, and writing, ensuring that each child has the tools they require to succeed academically. Collaborating closely with educational staff, you will help implement personalized learning plans and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to students in various academic areas.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design effective lesson plans.
  • Implement strategies to improve student engagement and participation.
  • Monitor classroom activities and assist with managing behavior.
  • Encourage a positive and supportive educational environment.
  • Document student progress and share updates with faculty.
  • Facilitate small group discussions to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and meetings as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field is preferred
Experience
