Job Description

As a Preceptor, you will play a vital role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical teaching and mentorship. Your expertise in healthcare will directly impact the next generation of healthcare professionals, ensuring they receive the guidance and knowledge necessary for their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Support student learning through hands-on experiences and simulations.
  • Utilize various teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess educational needs and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Work closely with nursing staff to coordinate learning opportunities.
  • Guide students in the application of learned skills in clinical settings.
  • Promote evidence-based practice in teaching methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Encourage peer learning and cooperative education among students.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that all educational content meets regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
Experience
  • Experience in curriculum development and educational program design.
